Do you speak fluent Spanish? Do you have experience of working with Group Reservations? Have you also worked with events/banqueting or conferences? Then this might be an excellent opportunity for you!

Miki Travel have a vacancy in the Adhoc team and is looking to recruit a Group Reservations Consultant to join us as soon as possible. You would be responsible for group hotel reservations in Spanish speaking countries in Europe. You would have to prioritise the workload according to deadlines, arrival dates etc based on hotel requests received daily from our sales offices in Japan, Hong Kong and London. Your responsibilities would be to contacting hotels according to the sales requirements by email, fax or phone in order to make a reservation. You would also be inputting and checking rates onto the in-house system and negotiating other conditions such as cancellation policies, decrease of rooms and upgrades. You would have to be able to provide suitable alternatives as and when required and also negotiating possible compensations when hotels do not provide the standard of service required and you would also be dealing with amendments and cancellations. 

Skills and Experience

We are looking for a candidate with the following skills:

  • Experience within group reservations and events/banqueting  within the travel/hospitality/leisure industry or equivalent is preferable
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written) is essential
  • Fluency in Spanish would be an advantage
  • Superb interpersonal and communication skills coupled with professional telephone manner
  • Good sound knowledge of the MS Office Applications
  • Ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines
  • Able to work on their own initiative and also as part of a diverse team
